Boero Yacht Coatings announces its role as official supplier to Team Francesca Clapcich Powered by 11th Hour Racing, contributing to the development of the coating system for the IMOCA 60, an offshore monohull designed to operate in extreme conditions.

A project in which the surface is not just protection, but an integral part of performance.

System and performance

In a context where speed, mechanical stress, and environmental conditions put every component to the test, the coating system becomes an active element in the boat’s behavior.

Boero Yacht Coatings operates as the coating provider, developing and applying integrated solutions that feature a combination of coating products and expertise with a direct impact on the boat’s performance.

The role of ChallengerPRO

The ChallengerPRO system plays a central and strategic role, acting as the interface between the coating structure and the marine environment. It translates the performance of the underlying layers into surface stability, efficiency and long-term durability, even under mechanical and environmental stress.

Color and application precision

Creating the stunning livery design required over 1,600 hours of work and 11 custom colours, with a high level of complexity involved in the masking processes and application sequences.

Application as part of the system

A distinctive feature of the approach for this project, and similar projects of complexity was the direct involvement of Boero Yacht Coating advisors throughout all stages of the application process. Constant support and an ongoing dialogue with application technicians and the yard’s technical team, plus process parameter monitoring, ensured design consistency and the reliability of the final result.

Know-how and performance

This project represents a concrete reference of Boero Yacht Coatings’ ability to act as a technical partner, integrating product, application, and expertise to transform the surface into real and lasting performance.
