The company

Boero YachtCoatings makes high quality coatings, for use in all marine applications, that satisfy the needs of both pleasure craft enthusiasts and major shipyards involved in the construction of ambitious yacht and superyacht projects.

Our close relationship with all customers encourages us to develop leading edge coatings, produced using selected raw materials, formulations in compliance with the latest legislation and production processes that guarantee constant quality.

To all this we add extensive application cycle know-how and the desire to help our partners through every step of their path.

In doing so, we are guided by our passion for the sea and our desire to satisfy our customers and be an integral part of their success.

The Research & Development department is the beating heart of every company. This is particularly true at Boero YachtCoatings, where it acts as an incubator for coating products that give unparalleled beauty and performance to any type of pleasure craft, both yacht and superyacht.

In the company’s super-modern “Riccardo Cavelleroni” Research & Development Centre, technical experts and engineers work together each and every day to provide shipyards and application services with the distinctive products and assistance services that Boero YachtCoatings has offered on Italian and foreign markets right from the outset.

Scientific research, meticulous fine tuning and an ongoing commitment to introducing the latest technology find their tangible expression in a range of products that combine high performance with a constant focus on environmental issues and on the current legislation.

Boero YachtCoatings’ R&D department partners with leading Italian and international universities and contributes to projects undertaken jointly with international bodies including LEAF (Low Emission AntiFouling), an organisation promoted by the European Community.

The technical assistance, on the other hand, plays a vital role in the client retention process, making it possible to provide shipyards with support during the delicate yacht construction process, by offering competent and highly-qualified guidance throughout all stages of production.

The Boero YachtCoatings production site, officially opened in 2009, is located in Rivalta Scrivia in the province of Alessandria.

It covers a total surface area of 120,000 sq m, of which 12,000 are used for production and 6,000 for warehouses and the service centre.

The Boero YachtCoatings factory, regarded as one of the top production facilities serving the protective coatings industry in Europe, uses advanced process technology, delivers the best possible end product quality standards and provides best-of-breed logistics services, all of which contribute to making Boero YachtCoatings the Italian market leader.

The world of Boero YachtCoatings just keeps growing.

Every year Boero YachtCoatings sends over 80,000 shipments of more than 300 different products to all the foreign countries that play an important role on the international yachting scenario.

Thanks to an extensive and highly qualified network of Italian distributors, working in tandem with locally-based technical and commercial resources, Boero YachtCoatings offers consulting services, after-sales assistance and product availability in European, North African and Middle Eastern countries.

Wherever there is a passion for the sea and wherever people are looking for high quality protective coatings, there you will also find Boero YachtCoatings.

Boero YachtCoatings believes in challenges, in change, and in working day-by-day to overcome limits.

For this reason Boero YachtCoatings has always proudly contributed to unconventional endeavours, sponsoring not-for-profit associations, eco-sustainable sailing projects, and challenges to records set in the world’s most prestigious sailing regattas.

Which is why for many years Boero YachtCoatings has been the technical partner of Giovanni Soldini and his boat Maserati Vor70, of the Tender to Nave Italia not-for-profit foundation, of Roma Ocean World and its EcoSailing Project, of the Life on the Sea not-for-profit organisation, and of Andrea Pendibene with his ITA520 Marina Militare.

Boero YachtCoatings has always sided with people who believe that the sea offers an opportunity to improve their performance, each and every day.

The Yachting Division was established in the 1970s, drawing on centuries of experience gained by Boero Bartolomeo Spa, which decided to exploit its heritage in the marine sector and embark on a new adventure.

At the outset it offered the market a comprehensive and diversified range of coatings for the pleasure craft segment. Then, in 1983, after years of experimentation, the YACHT LINE made its debut, offering coating cycle products for prestigious pleasure crafts that were immediately endorsed by sector operators.

This marked the start of the first profitable partnerships with leading Italian shipyards: Benetti, Baglietto, Perini Navi, CRN.

With the launch of the BOERO YACHT PAINT brand in 1991, the company delivered its first tin-free antifouling products to the market and decided to develop its business strategy through research, production, distribution and assistance services devoted to boat protection products. In 2004, to satisfy growing demand from Italy’s finest shipyards, an entire range of products was developed for the superyacht market. This was how the SUPERNAVI brand came into being, confirming the company’s growing role as the main supplier of leading shipyards in Italy and throughout the world.

This brings us to 2010, when the Yacht Paint and SuperNavi lines were incorporated into a single brand, Boero YachtCoatings, to offer an increasingly high performance range that meets the needs of both small sailing enthusiasts and of yacht and superyacht shipyards, as well as to increase brand awareness by exploiting the international profile of the SuperNavi brand and the heritage of the Yacht Paint trademark.
