A new journey sets sail with a clear objective: the Route du Rhum 2026. Boero Yacht Coatings stands alongside Damien Seguin on his path towards one of the world’s most iconic ocean races, launching a technical partnership that will support the skipper and his team throughout the key stages of this new challenge.
A two-time Paralympic champion and competitor in two editions of the Vendée Globe, Damien Seguin is now one of the leading figures in international offshore sailing. His story, shaped by determination, resilience and the constant pursuit of excellence, makes this project much more than a sporting competition: it is a journey driven by ambition, innovation and a forward-looking vision.
During the refit of the Arkéa – Handicap International trimaran, Boero Yacht Coatings contributed to the preparation of the boat by providing its complete coating system, from epoxy primers to undercoats and finishing products, supporting the performance requirements of a top-level racing season.
The project has already reached its first important milestones. Following the official christening of the trimaran, Damien Seguin and his team claimed victory in the Drheam-Cup, in the Multi 2000 category, a result that confirms the boat’s potential and marks an important first step on the road to the Route du Rhum 2026.
A journey to follow together
For Boero Yacht Coatings, this partnership represents the opportunity to support a project that brings together innovation, technical expertise and a strong human dimension, standing alongside one of the leading figures in international offshore sailing on his journey towards the Route du Rhum.
Over the coming months, we will closely follow the key milestones of this adventure, sharing the project’s progress and telling the story of the journey that will lead Damien Seguin and his team to the start of the Route du Rhum 2026.
